Move to New Dedicated Server Complete

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Late yesterday the move to the new dedicated server was finally completed and the entire Real Estate Resource system should now be running much faster and much smoother.

Of course, I will be watching it very closely to make sure that it is.

But, this is great news here in the office because we have been limiting publishing more than just the bare minimum of content to the servers while we were having the problems. With the new dedicated server in place, I can really start to share with everyone some of the new features we have added and are adding with the Real Estate Investor Cookbook and much more.

Until my next post,

James

Real Estate Investor Cookbook

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Over the last week, I’ve done a ton of work on the Real Estate Investor Cookbook and I am very, very excited about what has been happening with it.

In the video below, I tell you a little about the history of this project, how we’ve failed to do it correctly in the past and how we are planning to get it right this time around.

In fact, I am committed to moving my own personal business to using it which will ensure that it will get done and be done right.

One of the challenges that I see is that we need to create the downloadable forms for you with the system. In my personal business (to save time and money) I have purchased and licensed various checklists, contracts, forms and systems. Since I paid for them I can use them in my personal business. However, I can not just place them on-line for you to use, so I will need to make our own versions of these forms that we can include for you on the cookbook. This, to be quite frank, is what will take a large part of the time of getting the cookbook up and ready for you to use.

The good news is that the cookbook is a collaboration and you are encouraged to contribute to this and help get it done. I might also be hiring someone to do some of the forms to help speed it along.

In any event, here is the video for you to enjoy:

Until my next post,

James
