Hourly Telemarketer Checklist
This checklist is for hourly telemarketers (not to be confused with commission telemarketers and telemarketing sales managers). There is NO POSSIBLE WAY for you become an hourly telemarketer unless I initiate contact with you and send you to this page, so please do not ask how to get this type of job from us.
Here are the steps for our hourly telemarketers:
- Learn the Hourly Telemarketer Script.
- Contact James for the city to make calls to for that day. NEVER do a city for more than one day without explicit permission from James. You should be doing a different city EVERY DAY.
- The following is the preferred order for getting agents and brokers to call:
- List of agents and brokers in the city you are calling that day given to you by James
- Agents and brokers from the following agencies:
- Paid ads on Google for the search “[City] Real Estate Agent”
- Watch the video on how to add agents to the system for hourly telemarketers.
Remember the following rules and guidelines:
- Always make sure you are logged into your odesk.com account to log your hours. You will NOT be paid if you do not log your hours in odesk.com.
- Call and leave a voice mail message for James at (970) 225-6989 before you start your calls for the day and right after your last call of the day so I can also use that as a guide for tracking the times you are calling as well.
- NEVER add someone to the datbase that has not specifically said it was OK for you to send them info. Doing so will result in immediate termination without pay. It is THAT serious.
- We do expect you, based on actual data from what other telemarketers have done, to add a certain number of people to the system for each hour that you are working. While this number is expected to get higher as we get more data and fire the people that are not making enough calls each hour, the current MINIMUM number of people that you should be able to add each hour is set at 5. Not consistently adding this minimum number will result in termination. I will only keep the top performers calling for us based on our cost per person added (your hourly wage/number added per hour).
- Make sure you are calling after 9 AM and before 8 PM in the time zone you are calling. You can get in a lot of trouble for calling outside of that time.
NOTE: Whether you continue with this hourly job is LARGELY dependent on how many legitimate real estate agents/brokers you add to the system from your telemarketing divided by the hours you work. You are competing against other hourly telemarketers doing the same job. I will be letting poor performers go, so you will always want to be in the top half of the list.
